Many people don't take their old guitars to a repair shop because they think it's not worth getting them fixed. But the point is not the value but how important it is to your heart! Even a new set of strings can do wonders, not to mention a full restoration.

To ensure the best possible playing experience it is crucial to maintain our instruments, not just hold them. Every guitar should be in spick-and-span condition and professionally set up. Unfortunately, the latter is not typical with the store-bought instruments at all, although a standard setup can make learning much more enjoyable, even for beginners.

Significant improvements can also be made by modifying or replacing certain parts - because the sound you’re looking for might already be there, just needs a little help to bring it out.

Also, it's important not to start experimenting with DIY tips on your instrument if you lack the proper expertise, as you can cause more harm than good. So, if you're not confident with your skills: It’s better not to try at home. Leave it to the expert!
